Lady’s Essential Long Haul Packing List Lady’s Essential Long Haul Packing List

Lady’s Essential Long Haul Packing List

People always ask me how I cope with traveling so far so often. Even though I love to travel, it can be stressful. But in visiting over 100 countries I’ve developed strategies for making long trips comfortable. If you’ll be covering a lot of ground and want an experienced traveler’s guide to what to bring, today I want to share my long haul packing list with you. These 5 things will help you travel easy, pack light, and arrive refreshed. And who wouldn’t want that"

Long Haul Packing List
Over the years I’ve learned to rely on a number of things that have revolutionized my relationship with covering great distances, and today I hope my packing list helps make your trips as easy as it’s made mine.

1. Portable Charger
With all the electronics in my travel bag, I always have a portable charger with me. It has saved me a million times, from airports with no power sockets to airplanes with faulty ones. I use it to charge my phone, my eBook reader, my noise-canceling headphones, and all my other electronics. Lightweight and easy to carry, it’s a no-brainer. You can get one here.
2. Earplugs
The next item on my long haul packing list is a good pair of earplugs. Earplugs are a staple, especially when I’m trying to fall asleep on a noisy airplane or in the heart of a city. I’ve tested a million different kinds over the years, and I now swear by Ohropax. Their soft earplugs have helped me sleep blissfully through a lot of loud flights and nights. You can get them here.
3. eBook Reader
The next essential item for a long haul trip is an eBook reader. It’s a lifesaver on those 10-hour flights, not least because it takes up a fraction of the space a 500-page book takes (and I can load multiple 500-page books on it before I travel). It’s also incredibly useful for packing with just a carry-on, as it frees up a lot of room that would otherwise be dedicated to books. You can get one here.
4. Universal Adapter
One of the most useful things I own is a universal adapter. This little gem has plugs for all different global power outlets. No matter where I travel, I can pack it in my bag and know that I’ll have the right plug for the right socket when I arrive. It’s also useful for expats like me, who own some electronics with US plugs and some with UK plugs. Add to that the fact that it comes with a USB charging port, and it’s even helpful when I travel domestically. You can get one here.
5. Noise-Canceling Headphones
The last thing on my long haul packing list is a good pair of noise-canceling headphones. I swear by my Bose in-ear noise-canceling headphones, which are my keys to surviving long haul flights. Even after having them for a few years, I’m always amazed at how peaceful and relaxing they make my journey. Additionally, they’re so compact they fit in my pocket, which helps with traveling with just a carry-on. These headphones are the most important things ...
